This Wholly Shit Whisky edition is 1’st fill 100L Bourbon cask. Which just got Australia’s 2nd best whisky place in the 2024 Whisky Bible (We got Australia’s 1’st place too!!).

Bottled at Natural Cask Strength 56.5%.

Tasting notes taken from the Whisky Bible:

” ah sheep shit, but carefully cured sheep shit…; I really cannot fault the delivery: absolutely everything about it works. The mouth feel is exactly how you want perfectly cut rye spirit to be with a salivating crispness of its own, complete with friendly Demerara sugars…and then a gorgeous smokiness ballooning all around it, thus ensuring a magnificent two-tone attack on the palate - not entirely unlike Chinese gooseberry - hits hard. As this vanishes the smokes move back into place, though a more conforming Demerara sugar keeps the sweeter end up. Light spices are sprinkled on the smoke… which lingers and lingers and lingers; one of the great mouthfeels of this year with most extraordinary combination of rock hard and yielding you’re ever likely to meet. The phenol levels are also hitting near perfection. If I remember correctly the sheep faeces used in the smoking of this comes from animals who have been feed on the draft coming direction from the distiller, making this the ultimate recycled smoked whisky on the planet. And damned good shit to boot…”
